The Beadwrangler Weaves a WebAfter painting for over 25 years I was introduced to beads and never picked up a paint brush again. I thought beads, I breathed beads and then I learned about fiber. Now beads and fiber are my life. I have learned hundreds of beading, weaving, crocheting, knitting and stitchery techniques. I have the best of both worlds and beads and fiber are the main components of my art. I am weaving a web of information to crossover the boundaries of beads and fiber plus many other related mediums. I want to make information available so you can decide if you would like to add fiber to your beads or beads to your fiber; do you want to crochet fine silver wire and add beads or make a sculpture of knotted yarns and bead that sculptured form? Where do you go to learn and how do you incorporate these techniques? Where do you get supplies and what is new on the market for your specific needs. I love tools and want to share my discoveries. You will find free patterns and instructions added regularly to our site for bead and fiber arts. We will pool our knowledge on the history of beads and fiber, reproduce images of the past and invent new ones. Together we will explore a larger world and learn from each other. I am founder of the Tampa Bay Bead Society, held the office of President for three years and was contributor to the TBBS newsletter and eventually editor for two years. I mention this because you will find articles included on this web page that I previously included in TBBS newsletters and I believe will be of interest to you. If you would like more information about my background, check out About the Beadwrangler. I review books, tools and any other items I receive from artists, inventors, publishers or wholesale distributors. I will list the contributor and where you can purchase these items. My reviews are thorough and not just copies of press releases. I try out the tools, thread and other material I receive and give my opinion as to how well they work. I give tips and step-by-step directions on how to use many of these items. For those of you that own one or more of my books, you will find that they now extend beyond the last page. New projects are added to our site that indicate the book and information you will need to make more bead and fiberart using techniques you learned from that book. At Beadwrangler's you will find more projects, tips, techniques and new information in the areas of beading, crochet, stitchery and loom weaving. I also cover the areas of glass, clay, dolls, miniatures and purses since they are so closely related to activities in the bead and fiber arts. I am working on a series of crochet books that will include beading and other crossover techniques included. Want a link on your webpage to Beadwrangler's?
