White's book is still in print.  I was particularly interested in Chapter VIII, pages 109-118, Knitted and Crocheted Bags and Purses and Page 118-119, Crocheted Purses. There is a short introduction about beaded bags followed by instructions for crocheted and knitted bags with beads included. These are reproductions of old antique bags. The instructions are very basic and graphs are included. The author assumed readers knew basic crocheting and knitting when writing the book. Once you know how to make some of the other beaded purses from the books I have already mentioned then you would be able to make these. I have kept this book as a reference for many years because of the diverse beading techniques included and the time period it was written.
