Beading for the Soul by Deborah Cannarella Interweave Press always does and excellent job with their publications and this book is no exception. The color photos are wonderful, and the diagrams and text are the greatest. There are also several great designs that you will want to make. I just have a hard time with the whole “personal” and “soul” thing. If there is a deeper meaning to my work, I’m just not aware of it. I bead because it makes me happy. Not one of the artists in the book explores that emotion in their work. It is full of healing, prayer, strength, remembrance and those emotions, but there weren’t any “Happy” emotions explored. It’s just a personal thing with me ‘cause’ other than that, it is a superb book with lots of eye candy. Review by Teresa Barrett |
