Jenny has designed flowers with exotic flair, using natural flowers of Australia for her subjects.   The cover page combines all the flowers in a bouquet.   It took her over two years of local plant study, designing and testing before she could finalize her book.  You will find a color photograph of each flower on the back cover of the book with a number that corresponds and identifies each project.

There are 12 flower patterns and many variations can be made from these patterns.   Instructions and illustrations are included for adding beads to the crochet flowers in some of the stitches s.  Crochet terms and abbreviations are provided for those using British/European, USA/Canadian and French crochet language.  International symbols and illustrations are included with each pattern.

I like all the flowers with the Gum Nut, Waratah and Fuchsia being my favorites.    Presencia Finca pearl cotton #5 is used for the flowers, however, I can easily see adapting these flowers to Finca pearl cotton #8 and even thinner thread with beads.  Jenny provides a color conversion for Finca - DMC - Anchor pearl cottons, making it handy for you to mix and match with threads you already have and those you want to order.

Every flower name is provided, as well as the botanical name.  Each flower has special notes and finishing instructions, plus the care of your finished flowers.

Jenny’s instructions are always easy to follow; she takes great care to make each pattern fun to create.  Jenny’s Bouquet is a refreshing floral book, offering crocheted flowers from afar to set right on your table.  Jenny’s Bouquet is not for beginners.  Intermediate and advanced crocheters will find it a breeze to add these lovely florals to wearables, use as decorations or combine in wall hangings and sculptures.    Thanks, Jenny, for another tasty book to add to my collection.
