The Lowdown on Grunt
...and other "helpers"

I originally reviewed books for a Florida based arts & crafts newsletter and the Tampa Bay Bead Society newsletter. Mama Doodles "helped" (are you kidding?) me with reviews. However, Mama Doodles is now traveling in search of the Old Beader, and I am left with Grunt as my review helper. Grunt lives in a teapot. I actually thought he was attached to it until the day Max, my Chinese "catdog" (Shih Tzu), was sniffing next to the teapot and scared Grunt. Grunt sprang out in a classic Mark Spitz dive and landed on my head! Scared the bugles out of me I can tell you. Grunt is chunky, hairy and as you can guess he grunts and makes other obnoxious noises. Mama Doodles left him next to my computer the day she departed; no rest for the weary! Grunt's teapot is about six inches high and comes from China but the floral motif looks English. The pot is missing it's lid and Mama Doodles made a polymer one to replace it. Somehow it doesn't really work, but now Grunt wants me to cover the whole pot and top with beads and fiber so I guess no one will know that it is two unmatching parts. This pot is about six inches high and 15 inches around so covering it will be a time-consuming job! Do I really want to do this? "@@%$&^GRUNT!!" OK, OK, I guess I do want to bead it. What's one more project among the many I think I will one day finish!

I am always hoping to hear from Mama Doodles or receive one of those great letters from the Old Beader that I used to publish in  the Tampa Bay Bead Society Newsletter.  If I do, I'll be sure and pass it along.
